President Obama's Stimulus Bill Spurs Windowizards to Record Sales
Windowizards, Inc. achieved record sales in the first quarter of 2009 aided by the energy incentives included in President Barack Obama's ''American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.'' Philadelphia (PRWEB) May 20, 2009 -- Windowizards, Inc. one of the nation's largest retail window companies, achieved record sales in the first quarter of 2009. The continued growth of Windowizards' revenues was enhanced by the energy incentives included in President Barack Obama's ''American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.''
In 2008, Windowizards recorded record revenues of $38 million for its in-home sales and installation business. In the first quarter of 2009, sales grew 10 percent. The family-owned business, started over 50 years ago, also has increased its sales force by 54 percent and plans to further increase its staff due to demand. Windowizards operates sales showrooms in Levittown, PA and in Newark, DE.
David Goodman, president of Windowizards, stated, "The tax incentives provided by President Obama's economic stimulus plan have incentivized home owners to replace energy-inefficient windows and doors. Windowizards was one of the few companies in the country to have 'green' home improvement products that qualified for the new tax credits."
The ''American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009'' created a maximum $1500 tax credit for home owners to be applied to the cost of replacing energy inefficient windows, with newer, energy saving windows.
Goodman was named president of Windowizards on May 19, 2009, and has been involved in all areas of the company's business. During his 16 years with Windowizards, Goodman supervised management of the company's marketing and sales programs, and development of technology.
"Soon after Windowizards began advertising the advantages granted by the stimulus bill, we received a phone call from an IRS representative thanking us for advertising the energy tax credits given to home owners," said Goodman.
