New Salada Green Tea Flavors Make Drinking Tea Easy, Healthy and Refreshing

Salada Tea releases new green tea flavors – Pomegranate Berry, Strawberry, Soothing Mint and a new size offering of Classic Lemon.

Little Falls, N.Y. (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 3, 2009 -- Salada Tea has introduced four new flavors of green tea: Pomegranate Berry, Strawberry, Soothing Mint and Classic Lemon. Combining Salada’s antioxidant-rich green tea with unique and refreshing flavors, the teas offer a great zero-calorie, low cost alternative to many bottled teas available on the market. They will be available in supermarkets across the country, beginning this summer.

The new green tea flavors add to Salada’s existing line of flavored teas that can be served both as hot tea and iced tea. The new flavors are described as:

Pomegranate Berry Green Tea blends antioxidant-rich “super fruits” pomegranate, blueberry and acai with green tea for a unique, vibrant flavor.

Strawberry Green Tea with lemongrass offers a sweet, juicy flavor with natural botanicals for a light, fresh taste.

Soothing Mint Green Tea combines the traditional, refreshing green tea blend with a hint of soothing spearmint. This flavor is being released in a 40 count box size.

Classic Lemon Green Tea, initially introduced in 2008, is now available in a 40 count box. Classic Lemon blends the refreshing flavor of lemon with the smooth taste of green tea.

“With the continued popularity of green tea, the flavors that we are introducing offer a refreshing alternative to this already healthy, great-tasting beverage,” said Michele Peters, brand manager of Salada Tea. “These new flavors will make it even easier for people to enjoy the great taste and health benefits of green tea.”

With the introduction of Salada’s new flavors, consumers now have even more options for making freshly brewed tea instead of buying bottled teas. In September 2008, Salada introduced an educational campaign called “Unbottle Your Tea,” to promote the consumption of freshly brewed tea as a healthier, less expensive and more environmentally friendly alternative to bottled teas. Consumers that switch from bottled tea to freshly brewed tea made with tea bags will take in approximately 90 percent more antioxidants, help decrease pollution and greenhouse gases, and save money.

The Pomegranate Berry and Strawberry green tea flavors will retail at approximately $2.99 for a 20 count box and the Green Tea with Mint and Classic Lemon flavors at $3.99 for a 40 count box. All of the new green tea flavors will be available in stores across the country and online at www.greentea.com.
