Germantown, MD (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 2, 2009 –- LifeEntry.com allows users to remember all the days of their life, simply by typing short sentences and posting pictures representing their day. The website is a combination of online journal with a unique, easy-to-use interface. The service allows users to post text, words, pictures, and videos to document their daily lives. In short, it is the easiest way to remember all the days—and joys—of your life.
LifeEntry.com allows users to share their calendar and/or journal with their friends, and allows their friends to comment on certain entries. Journals can be kept private, available for friends-only, or viewable by the public. The site has implemented Facebook-connect so that users may use their existing Facebook account to login to LifeEntry. This feature also enables automatic posting to Facebook from LifeEntry.com.
LifeEntry offers several other useful features. The first is a simple, intuitive calendar format for photo journal. Strongly visual, it permits a clearly-visible, easy-to-use interface. The second is a powerful tagging feature which allows users to group similar moments in their life—all baby pictures can be viewed at once; or videos may be sorted by that recent vacation to Cancun.
In short, LifeEntry is a great fusion of microblogging—which only allows 140 characters, and no pictures or videos—and a blog, which allows unlimited space. LifeEntry’s journal entries allow 1,000 characters plus a photo and video.
LifeEntry.com’s founders got their inspiration for the site from their own families. As parents, they realized that their kids were growing up so fast. “You really want to enjoy the moment with your kids and remember all the sweet and funny things they say. And we also think the application has great applications for every range, from teens and young professionals who are already spending lots of time on the web—to older people who may already keep traditional journals, but are just getting acclimated with the online world.”
The founders of LifeEntry.com are excited about its upside potential. “Many of our friends are using microblogs, Facebook or standard blogs to document their life and loved ones. These methods are great for entering data—but they leave a lot to be desired when it comes to viewing. We’re proud to be the first service available that makes journaling easy—and looking back at life a lot of fun,” states Mulyono Kertajaya, co-founder of LifeEntry.com.
There are several sets of features that will be released soon: the next update will include features such as entry via email, and photo-book and album-creation via PDF.
