MOD-LAB Launches Cost-Effective Innovation for Donations; Lets Nonprofits Extend Reach through Social Media

Minds On Design Lab (http://mod-lab.com) launches Giving Impact (http://givingimpact.com), an innovative new web-based tool that allows non-profit and civic groups to raise money for projects from supporters using the client organization's own website. More than just facilitating a one-time donation, however, Giving Impact offers nonprofits a novel and powerful way to expand their reach exponentially to new donor prospects through social media.

Brooklyn, N.Y. (PRWEB) November 3, 2009 -- Minds on Design Lab Inc., the DUMBO, Brooklyn-based strategy and design studio, today launched Giving Impact, an innovative new web-based tool that allows non-profit and civic groups to raise money for projects from supporters using the client organization's own website. More than just facilitating a one-time donation, however, Giving Impact offers nonprofits a novel and powerful way to expand their reach exponentially to new donor prospects through social media.

"Giving Impact was inspired by organizations in the arts, education and social services sectors that are the heart of our client base. We found these clients shared two primary needs - help understanding how their donors' use of social media networks could affect their fundraising efforts, and an easier method to create and measure engaging online donation campaigns," said Seth Giammanco, principal of Minds on Design Lab."In these challenging economic times, nonprofits and other civic-minded groups will be able, at a nominal cost, to reach beyond their usual supporters 'and involve previously untapped individuals in targeted giving efforts."

A neighborhood association seeking to raise $10,000 for a playground, for example, can integrate the Giving Impact tool on its website, preserving brand integrity. When an individual makes an online donation to the project, Giving Impact gathers payment information that is processed by PayPal; a confirmation screen thanks the donor and suggests that he or she share the giving opportunity with friends on Facebook. The donor's message of support appears on his/her Facebook wall, inspiring others to support the organization's project with an automated link back to its website. Donors effectively become agents and drivers of the project campaign.

Groups using Giving Impact will create, manage and track their campaigns through an elegant and user-friendly online application. Giving Impact's secure dashboard provides a campaign overview as well as a way to manage payment and account settings. Individual campaigns have an activity log and statistics, allowing organizations to monitor and measure success in real time.

By enabling viral marketing, Giving Impact offers nonprofits a solution to match the way today's donors communicate. Fees for Giving Impact start at $30 per month with a small per-transaction charge. Organizations wanting more information on this new tool should visit http://givingimpact.com.

Minds On Design Lab provides print and interactive design services for educational and social service organizations and companies. Its design formula is "a thoughtful approach + creative minds = smart design." For more information, see http://mod-lab.com.
