The organization and website has been created to serve as a catalyst for spiritual and social change. Darrell Johnson, the founder of the Awaken to One Alliance (Ato1) states "We believe that by initiating spiritual and social dialogue with a conscious understanding and recognition that we are all interconnected spiritual beings, we can positively affect change and create a call to action for an awakening of our true selves. This conscious recognition will result in a catharsis of social change that can and will benefit all mankind." The Awaken to One Alliance has also released a new video as part of its launch outreach efforts entitled "One" - Awaken to One Video. This video is posted on the Ato1 website as well as YouTube with music composed by Darrell Johnson.

The Ato1 website will serve as a forum for spiritual and social discourse with blogs and articles from many diverse perspectives. It is also a central repository for spiritual, health related, creative, and environmentally conscious information that will be helpful to people from all walks of life. As the name implies, alliances are very important, and Ato1 looks to partner with other like-minded organizations whose core mission is to benefit and uplift the world.
