San Carlos, Ca (PRWEB) November 2, 2009 -- The Consortium for Service Innovation, a non-profit alliance of service and support organizations, today announced updates to the KCS Verified v4 program. The KCS Verified program provides organizations who are adopting KCS with a list of technology vendors and training providers who have demonstrated they support the latest KCS practices.
KCS sm (Knowledge-Centered Support) is the leading best practice for knowledge management in service and support organizations. KCS has been developed, refined and validated through the collective efforts of the Consortium members over the past 15 years.
KCS Verified v4 for technology vendors recognizes products that have the functionality required to support the KCS processes. The original KCS Verified program was launched in 2005. KCS Verified v4 raises the bar for the knowledge management market by including more rigorous process and technology requirements.
The following products are the first that have achieved the KCS Verified v4 certification (in alphabetical order by company):
| | - Consona Knowledge Management 7.3
- Consona Knowledge Driven Support 1.0.x
- Kaidara v4.x
- InQuira Q8 and InQuira iConnect for CRM v8.x

"We are pleased to have this initial group of vendors endorse and support the KCS practices," states Greg Oxton, Executive Director of the Consortium. "KCS represents a new way to think about support. For most organizations KCS is a significant transformation, and success requires a tight integration of process and technology. The KCS Verified v4 program independently validates product functionality using the most important KCS requirements and scenarios."
KCS Verified v4 for trainers gives organizations looking to adopt KCS, confidence that the trainers who have earned the "KCS Verified v4" designation understand the latest KCS principles and practices, and the workshops being offered align with the KCS fundamentals.
"KCS is gaining in popularity and credibility. As the market demand grows, it is increasingly important to ensure that those who provide KCS-related services are able to correctly represent the practices as defined by the Consortium and its members. The KCS Verified v4 for Trainers Program supports the growing rate of KCS adoption by recognizing service providers who are accurate and consistent in the definition of the KCS practices," explains Oxton.
