American Association of Retirement Communities Conference Announced for November 4th-6th, 2009.

The AARC is an organization that focuses on the building and development of communities for the purpose of future retirement and active adults. The dual focus of the conference this year is to feature ways to succeed in what we expect will continue to be a turbulent market in 2010 and how to be a leader in the recovery.

Wilmington, NC (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 18, 2009 -- The AARC national conference is set. This year's conference will be held November 4th - 6th at the Marriot at the Convention Center in Chattanooga, TN. This event will feature:

  • Mr. Ralph Stewart Bowden, editor and publishers of Bowden's Market Barometer;
  • Ms. Rachel Stoer of BNIM, the firm that is helping to rebuild Greensburg, KS as an all green community see www.greensburggreentown.org;
  • Mr. Dave Robertson, President of RPI Media; and,
  • Mr. Berkely Young, President, Young Strategies.

Recession or not the clock is ticking for Boomers. If the economy remains slow for a couple of years will they see retirement as their best option? All we know is that these retirees are not similar to their parents' generation. Many are looking for new and exciting places to call home; while many are expected to continue working in their current career or begin second careers. This year the AARC will offer two specialized tracks. The first track is targeted to the interest of builders and developers. The second track, in the local government and non-profit economic development, will look at how to determine if your community is ready to showcase affordable attraction strategies. Visit us online for a complete conference schedule. Hotel registration and conference registration information are online at www.the-aarc.org.
