Pedal to Properties Leases New Office
Pedal to Properties, a unique Boulder-based realty firm, has signed a lease to occupy a 2,500-square-foot commercial space at 1949 Pearl Street, a location previously occupied by boutique retailer Besos. The new location allows Pedal to Properties to expand in the coming months. In addition, the office will become the flagship office for Pedal to Properties' expansion plans to reach into markets where this new realty model is likely to take hold.

Matt Kolb, president and founder of Pedal to Properties, and Tim Majors, president, U.S. operations, made the announcement after completing the transaction with Gibbons-White of Boulder. Kolb has made a series of moves in the last month to position Pedal to Properties for growth, including:
| | - License designation: Kolb announced in May the availability of a Pedal to Properties license designation. In effect, realtors in offices nationwide can sign on to access the unique formula by paying an annual fee.
- Partnership: More recently, Kolb announced he entered a partnership with Australian businessman Tim Majors, who recently relocated to Boulder. Majors, an attorney with experience in taking retail businesses national, is now a 50 percent partner in the firm. Majors approached Kolb about investing in Pedal to Properties after taking a bike tour with Kolb earlier this year when looking for a Boulder property.

Boulder-based VAST Architecture will handle interior design for the new Pedal to Properties office. "This is an excellent location that affords us visibility and access," said Kolb, adding that the office plans to open in early July.
Formed in 2006, Pedal to Properties has grown 200 percent in the last two years, and today the company maintains 50 Electra Cruiser bikes at strategic locations throughout town. In addition, Pedal to Properties will explore strategies for opening branch offices in other markets nationwide in the coming year. Pedal to Properties continues to grow and attract national attention as Entrepreneur Magazine selected Pedal to Properties as one of its "Top 100 Brilliant Companies" in its June issue. In the last few months, Pedal to Properties has also been featured in major media outlets such as Fortune Small Business, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC and ABC News.
