The prestigious award is given to a builder who has shown exemplary commitment to building and labelling energy efficient new homes.

The prestigious award is given to a builder who has shown exemplary commitment to building and labelling energy efficient new homes. The recipient must show an organizational commitment to building green and has made significant impact in their communities through innovation, advocacy and awareness.
Empire's was recognized for their outstanding commitment to green building that included ENERGY STAR for New Homes as standard practice in all communities, a LEED for Homes Canada case study project in Uxbridge, and for taking an active role in the Archetype Sustainable House project at Kortright Centre through BILD.
